It was Superbowl Sunday. Cardinals VS Steelers. Thanks to Uncle Dane for sending us Jerseys in such a hurry. We had lots of yummy food (Nachos, enchiladas, rice and beans) and good friends (Ladd, Monica, Zach, Zane, Lane, and Austin) to spend the evening with.

I figured out how to work the self timer on the camera.

Bid Farewell to Pres. George W. Bush

What a wonderful day for the kids and I. As others were celebrating a pathetic historical event, we were celebrating an end to the most historic president ever. President George W. Bush came to his home town of Midland for his farewell speech before heading to Dallas. It was such a memory maker for me and my kids. The things he has accomplished and the decisions he made as President will forever impact us. My kids and their kids will forever remember him and as they study him in history classes from here on out and will remember being there at the end. Thank you President Bush!!!

Kj was on the news last night. He volunteered to be in the schools spelling bee. I was very surprised when he came home and said he VOLUNTEERED. He is coming out of his shell. Over Christmas break the boys went and played paintball with their guns they got for Christmas. They had alot of fun. Kaelie and I went and painted our toenails (of course I didn't get pictures of that)but itwas fun as well.

HOLY CRAP!!!! I have a teenager. I guess if I have to have a teenager, I'm glad that it is KJ. He is a very good boy so far. I love you KJ. Hope you had a great birthday. He took a few friends to Buffalo Wild Wings and then they went to a movie. He has good friends and I even enjoy having them all around.

Kaelie and I went on a quick trip to Arizona to celebrate Heidi's 40th birthday and Grandma's 90th birthday. Dane my brother got us a party bus (bus on the outside limo on the inside) to go to dinner at the Cheesecake Factory so we could celebrate Heidi's big day.

We had such a great time spending Thanksgiving with the Ashton's in Dallas. We spent many hours together talking, playing, eating (of course), and enjoying everyone. Scroll down to catch a glimpse of the fun things that we did.

For those who don't know but West Texas football is huge. Even in the 5th grade. Marlin's football team which is called the Chiefs won the championship game again. They have been underfeated for 2 years with a record of 18-0. He was the runningback this year and he ran his heart out, plus he hits really hard also. He won the sportsmanship award which was presented to him during half time.

We finally got to have a fun Halloween this year. We are usually at football practice because it's Superbowl time and never get dress up.
This was my sweet niece Sally. Ha ha it's really Marlin. He had such a fun time dressing up and honestly tricking people. Most of then had no idea that that was him. He kept telling me that his hair is getting stuck to his eyelashes (I was really jealous of them when he got mascara on). He went over to his football coaches house and asked if he could be a Chief Cheerleader, and of course he went along having no idea who it was. Then Marlin asked if he could be the tailback, and his coach said no girls don't play football. Marlin then said but I'm a special girl and play football already for you. His coach took a closer look and laughed until he cried. Marlin had a playoff game the next morning and still had a little eyeliner on. It was hard to get off, but he played nothing like a girl, it was all boy that morning.

Kaelie was a witch. We started out to be a beautiful witch, but then turned out to be an ugly witch in a beautiful dress. She had fun going around the neighborhood, trying to get the most candy. I think she eat it faster than she could get it.

KJ went to the Midland High football game this year. So I don't have any pictures of him. I guess he is getting to big. I don't like that very much. All in all we had a good time. Hope everyone else had a Happy Halloween.

I love this little machine. As I "blog" and waste time, my floors are being vacuumed and the best part is I'm not doing do it. What a great thing this little robot is. It goes around and vacuums all by it's self. All I do is push a button and off it goes. It runs until its done going over the floor and puts its self back on the docking station to charge its self. The only thing I do is push a button. It cleans and puts its self away. How could you not love it!!!!

They say "everything is bigger in Texas" that really does apply to everything. Here in Midland kids, mostly Jr. High kids do these things called "Mums". I'm sure it started out to be a little flower mum tacky thing, but now it has turned into a HUGE flower tacky MUM thing. They wear these big ugly things at the football game. In my opinion it is the dumbest thing I have ever seen. Kj had some friends that he went with. Trust me they are all friends. It was a good time for all of us. We had a big tail gate party with all the kids and their families. Most of these kids are new to me, so it was fun to get to know the kids and their families. You be the judge and tell how ridiculous it is. And bye the way I made Kj's mum that he gave Kennedy.Kj's football team was in the Homecoming Parade.

It's been forever since my last post and I'm sorry for those who care. Life (kids extra activities) has so got in the way of my blogging time, house cleaning time, my homework time, and anything else you want to throw in there. I promised some football pics of KJ and here they are. His poor little team, let me say nicely sucks. I feel bad for KJ. I feel like he got the shaft, but I'm the mom and to most football men what do I know. (Only if they really knew what I know!!!!) Anyways off that subject, sorry for so many pictures it's mainly for family to get an inside look. Bye the way Kj is #12 and is the quarterback.

First Day of School

School started YEA!!!!!! Life has started a new routine, a busy routine. The kids seem to have had a good day on their first day.

Kaelie is in the second grade, and so far likes it. Her teacher is Mrs. Griffin. She looks like the stereotype of a really mean teacher. Kaelie is a little afraid of her, which is the first thing she has ever been afraid of. I don't know if that is a good thing or a bad thing, considering it is her teacher. Time will only tell. Kaelie picked out her outfit and had to have the black sequence shoes to go with it. She said " it almost looks Goth." I put an end to that and told her " it had pink in it and anything with pink in it is no way Goth."

Marlin is in the 5th grade and he thinks his teachers hang the moon. We are both excited about this year. He loves football and friends. He likes to wear funny t-shirt with funny sayings, but he said this morning "that the "real " Marlin is coming back." I asked him "what is the "real" Marlin." He said "the" real" Marlin wears a sport t-shirt and sport shorts. It all about comfort." What a boy, I'm all about comfort as well.

Kj is in 7th grade. JR. High!!!!!!! I can't believe it. I have had some anxiety about this all summer. I have tried to explain to him about being responsible and to listen and most importantly try to remember what the teachers are telling. He was nervous about the first day, but he did pretty good. He found his classes, opened his locker, and even brought home the important papers without his mothers help. That is one more cord Keith and I have had to cut loose. He is growing into a good young man and I'm not so worried about him today.

Who's ready for some FOOTBALL!! That's right it's time for football. Marlin started football one week ago. So one week down and many weeks to go. He is really excited for his 5th grade season. He is on the Chiefs GMFL league. Keith coaches that team. It is his love. If I would let him he would coach high school football. Here in West Texas Football is huge. Go Saturday Night Lights. Just a little info about High School football in West Texas, you have to buy season ticket to get into the football games on Friday night. It is CRAZY!!!

KJ is starting on the 7th grade team. He thinks he is big now being in Jr. High. I'll he pictures of him when his season starts.

Kaelie starts cheer leading soon as well. Yes I said it, the huge bad word "cheer leading." Worst of all I have a cheerleader.

I'm Old

I feel as if I am old and I said something my great grandma would say. Kaelie asked me today if I pretended to have a web-show with my friends when I was a little girl. I told her no the Internet wasn't invented yet when I was alittle girl (not invented yet, are you kidding me. That is a whole generation gap. Think about that, we are all old). She then said how did I get everything that I needed to know, like how to cook , have a phone if I didn't have the Internet. She made me laugh and then made me think about when I first got the Internet back in 1999. The stats said that by the year 2000 every home would have the Internet and I thought what a joke I don't need the Internet. Now I can't live with out it. I get pretty ticked off when it is down and I'm stuck about getting information on how to cook or something. It was just something to think about.

Summer Boredom

Summer is almost over and we haven't done much. My kids are bored to death and are driving me crazy. Gotta love the end of summer and school really needs to start attitude that I'm sure many mothers have about now. I haven't taken any pictures of the absolute boredom so I can't post those, just imagine it in your head. We have had almost a month of ZERO sports, but that doesn't last long. On Monday the boys start football and Kaelie starts up cheer. Yes I said it, I have a cheerleader. Its is almost a dirty word to me and my sisters but Kaelie loves it and that is right where she belongs. I will have many football and cheer picture to post real soon. On my play list I found this skit about the comparisons of football and baseball. It was kinda funny. I sneak peek into my life.
It has been a different summer for us as we usually go see family in Arizona, which takes up most of the summer. This summer I was down healing in bed and taking it easy for most part so we didn't get to visit family or do anything to much fun. I hope everyone enjoyed their summer. School is around the corner and no more sleeping in.

As you can tell we play alot of baseball in our family. Kaelie is a great cheerleader for her brothers, but she does have her own sport that she is developing this summer. She has been taking technique class to get on the swim team. She really wants to do diving, BUT I hate heights and those high dives are HIGH !!!!

Summer Activities

All Stars is over!!!!!

Kj came in 3rd in the district. This was a hard tournament when Keith and I realized it was KJ's last year of Little League. He played and practiced so hard for so many years and we are so proud of all of his accomplishments. We as parents have put in so much time and effort ourselves, we don't know what to do know with all this extra time. Just Kidding that time has been filled with lots of work around our house. Here in West Texas KJ's team has prayed before each game. It is something his team has done for 3 years now. It's nice to see grown men being good examples for the younger generations.

Marlin came in 2nd in district. He played his little heart out during his first year of All-Stars. He had a double hitter with the same team to win the Championship. He won the first game 13-2 and then turned around and lost the 2nd game 5-3. It was a heart breaker for these 10 years old boys. Every single boy experienced every emotion in a matter of 4 hours. It made me tear up to see them all crying. Marlin cried all the way home (20 min drive). He's over it now, but wow he was upset.

Congrat's KJ(Killer Joe) and Marlin (Tuna)!!!!

They made the Midland Northern Baseball All-Star Team. KJ in on the 12 yr old team and Marlin is on the 10 yr old team. That means more baseball, at least 2 more months of baseball. For all those that know the game means no more swimming on game days. That's tough for mothers of bored kids. It is fun for the boys, and I'm so proud of their hard work. Good job kids and dad. Give Kaelie $5 and she is set for the game, which allows me to keep

score for the coach.

Family Vacation

We were lucky enough to find a week free of baseball to take a family vacation. We had a great time having fun in the sun. We are now peeling that fun in the sun off our backs. We played and played. Spent most of our time at the beach, snorkling and even shared the beach with long big lizards. YUCK!!!! Some of them good eat Kaelie they were so big. It was fun to get away from real life for awhile.

Summer Haircuts

We all went to Veags Baby!!!! What a fun time to bond with friends that are still here in Midland and freinds that have moved away. We have been blessed with the most wonderful group of friends. A joke amonst the girls is Diet Coke. Diet Coke is our coping drink of choice. What goes best with Diet Coke then M&M's and lots and lots of shopping. OH yea the husbands were there also.

Kaelie is 7 but going on 16. She is so much fun, but keeps me hopping. She just finished the 1st grade and sad to say she was my only child who loved school. She wouldn't stay home for anything. She loves to have friends around her all the time. She is my girlie girl, but would rather hang out with the boys. Sad to say, most of the boys are afraid of her. That's my GIRL.

KJ is 12 years old now and his life is busy. He is a good student, athlete, and boy. He was confirmed in December and enjoys being in Young Mens. He is on two baseball teams; The Basin Dawgs which is a traveling team and plays in tournaments around Texas and the Mets which is his little league team. He starts in January and ends middle of July. Its a good thing that he likes it.

Marlin is 10 and he is busy also. He is a good boy, student, and athlete too. Marlin has a unique quality to make everyone around him laugh. The teachers love him and he makes them laugh all the time. He is on two baseball teams a traveling team The Bombers and he is on the Mets with KJ. That makes it nice for me. He likes any sport that has a ball in it and never stops.
